我以佛教的道法為基礎，闡述無我、苦、空的道理，使人明白先前的福緣和後來的因果報應。我撰寫此詩集，勸人行善，告誡人們不要做違背道德的事情。目錄雖然只有幾條，但詩歌卻有三百多首。這些詩歌所言之事都是真實的，並非虛構。它們闡述了王梵志詩歌的精妙之處，學習丁郭詩歌的要義。這些詩歌不採用經典，全部使用通俗易懂的語言，不僅能讓聰明人改變想法，也能讓愚笨的人改變態度。遠近的人們都傳頌這些詩歌，勸勉人們行善。那些貪婪的官吏不應該侵吞百姓的財產，那些尸位素餐的官員應該廉潔謹慎。即使人們愚昧無知，讀了這些詩歌也會感到悲傷。只要略讀一遍，認真思考三次，就不會忘記。即使是大德高僧的講說，也不如讀這些勸善的詩歌。不孝順的兒子讀了這些詩歌，也會變得孝順；懶惰的媳婦讀了這些詩歌，也會早晚侍奉公婆。賭博的丈夫和不貞的妻子會感到慚愧，各地的遊子會思念家鄉。懶惰的丈夫會夜晚起來工作，懶惰的妻子會通宵達旦地紡織。面對絲織品，他們都會感到慚愧。知道了罪惡和福報，就會勤勞耕作，努力工作，以求溫飽。只要一心一意，五情不改變，東州西郡都會稱讚這些詩歌。只要熟讀這些詩歌，頑固愚蠢的人都會變得賢良。

I base this collection on the Buddhist doctrines of non-self (Anatta), suffering (Dukkha), and emptiness (Sunyata), to make people understand the blessings of past deeds and the consequences of future actions. I compile this collection to encourage good deeds and warn against immoral behavior. Although the table of contents has only a few items, there are more than three hundred poems. The events described in these poems are all true and not fabricated. They explain the essence of Wang Fanzhi's poetry and teach the essential meanings of Ding Guo's poems. These poems do not use scriptures but use easy-to-understand language, which can not only change the minds of intelligent people but also change the attitudes of foolish people. People far and near praise these poems and encourage people to do good. Those greedy officials should not embezzle the property of the people, and those officials who hold positions without doing any work should be honest and cautious. Taking off clothes and standing naked is not as good as a sheep. Sheep are slaughtered every day, and people are also heading towards death every day. Being tricked from beginning to end is like a fat sheep. Sheep die hard, and people suffer all kinds of pain after death. After the end of life, one can only follow him, and the soul wanders in a foreign land. The rich should do more good deeds and enjoy delicious food and gorgeous clothes. Foolish people only know how to commit sins, and wise people should think carefully.
It is ridiculous that there are more foolish people and fewer wise people in the world. Don't worry about the long road to death, but greedy for the troubles of the world. Wandering in the ghost world at night, and returning to the human world at dawn. Suddenly being caught by the Yama soldiers, crying and looking for ancestors. Poverty and suffering have nowhere to escape, and can only suffer whipping and torture. It is already painful to be alive, it is better to die early.
Others laugh at my poverty, but I am happy because of poverty. Without cattle or horses, there is no need to worry about being robbed by thieves. You rich people have heavy taxes and corvée, and you are ashamed of interest. I have nowhere to be requisitioned, and I can eat my fill and stretch my legs आराम से rest.
You rich people wear gorgeous brocade robes, but are often entangled in troubles. The poor have no worries, and are comfortable wearing coarse clothes.
