唐上都大興善寺三藏沙門智慧輪奉 詔譯
如是我聞:
一時薄誐梵住王舍城鷲峰山中,與大苾芻眾及大菩薩眾俱。爾時,世尊入三摩地,名廣大甚深照見。時眾中有一菩薩摩訶薩,名觀世音自在。行甚深般若波羅蜜多行時,照見五蘊自性皆空。
即時具壽舍利子,承佛威神,合掌恭敬,白觀世音自在菩薩摩訶薩言:「聖者!若有欲學甚深般若波羅蜜多行,云何修行?」如是問已。
爾時,觀世音自在菩薩摩訶薩告具壽舍利子言:「舍利子!若有善男子、善女人,行甚深般若波羅蜜多行時,應照見五蘊自性皆空,離諸苦厄。舍利子!色空,空性見色。色不異空,空不異色。是色即空,是空即色。受、想、行、識亦復如是。舍利子!是諸法性相空,不生不滅、不垢不凈、不減不增。是故空中無色,無受、想、行、識,無眼、耳、鼻、舌、身、意,無色、聲、香、味、觸、法,無眼界乃至無意識界。無無明亦無無明盡,乃至無老死盡。無苦、集、滅、道,無智證無得。以無所得故,菩提薩埵依般若波羅蜜多住,心無

【English Translation】 English version Thus have I heard: At one time, the Bhagavan (the Blessed One) was dwelling on Mount Gṛdhrakūṭa (Vulture Peak) in Rājagṛha (Royal Palace City), together with a large assembly of bhikṣus (monks) and a large assembly of bodhisattvas (enlightenment beings). At that time, the Blessed One entered into a samādhi (meditative state) called 'Profound Illumination of Vastness'. Then, among the assembly, there was a bodhisattva-mahāsattva (great bodhisattva) named Avalokiteśvara (the one who perceives the sounds of the world). While practicing the profound prajñāpāramitā (perfection of wisdom), he perceived that the five skandhas (aggregates) are by their own nature empty. Then, the venerable Śāriputra (one of Buddha's chief disciples), empowered by the Buddha's majestic power, respectfully joined his palms and said to the bodhisattva-mahāsattva Avalokiteśvara: 'Holy One! If there are those who wish to learn the practice of the profound prajñāpāramitā, how should they practice?' Having asked this question. At that time, the bodhisattva-mahāsattva Avalokiteśvara said to the venerable Śāriputra: 'Śāriputra! If there are good men or good women who practice the profound prajñāpāramitā, they should perceive that the five skandhas are by their own nature empty, and thus be free from all suffering and distress. Śāriputra! Form (rūpa) is emptiness, and emptiness is form. Form is not different from emptiness, and emptiness is not different from form. Form is emptiness, and emptiness is form. So it is with feeling (vedanā), perception (saṃjñā), mental formations (saṃskāra), and consciousness (vijñāna). Śāriputra! All dharmas (phenomena) are empty in their own nature, they are neither born nor do they cease, neither defiled nor pure, neither decreasing nor increasing. Therefore, in emptiness there is no form, no feeling, no perception, no mental formations, no consciousness, no eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, mind, no form, sound, smell, taste, touch, dharma, no eye realm up to no mind consciousness realm. There is no ignorance (avidyā), nor is there the cessation of ignorance, up to no cessation of old age and death. There is no suffering, no origin of suffering, no cessation of suffering, no path, no wisdom, no attainment. Because there is nothing to be attained, the bodhisattva dwells relying on prajñāpāramitā, and his mind has no
障礙。心無障礙故,無有恐怖,遠離顛倒夢想,究竟寂然。三世諸佛依般若波羅蜜多故,得阿耨多羅三藐三菩提,現成正覺。故知般若波羅蜜多,是大真言,是大明真言,是無上真言,是無等等真言。能除一切苦,真實不虛。故說般若波羅蜜多真言。」
即說真言:
「唵(引) 誐帝 誐帝 播(引)啰誐帝 播(引)啰散誐帝 冒(引)地 娑縛(二合)賀(引)
「如是,舍利子!諸菩薩摩訶薩,于甚深般若波羅蜜多行,應如是學。」
爾時,世尊從三摩地安祥而起,贊觀世音自在菩薩摩訶薩言:「善哉,善哉!善男子!如是,如是!如汝所說。甚深般若波羅蜜多行,應如是行。如是行時,一切如來悉皆隨喜。」
爾時世尊如是說已,具壽舍利子,觀世音自在菩薩,及彼眾會一切世間天、人、阿蘇啰、巘䭾嚩等,聞佛所說,皆大歡喜,信受奉行。

【English Translation】 English version: Because the mind has no obstructions, there is no fear, and one is far from distorted dreams, ultimately reaching a state of stillness. All Buddhas of the past, present, and future attain Anuttara-samyak-sambodhi (supreme perfect enlightenment) and realize perfect enlightenment by relying on the Prajnaparamita (perfection of wisdom). Therefore, we know that Prajnaparamita is the great mantra, the bright mantra, the supreme mantra, the unequaled mantra. It can eliminate all suffering, and it is true and not false. Therefore, the Prajnaparamita mantra is proclaimed. The mantra is spoken: 'Om gate gate paragate parasamgate bodhi svaha' 'Shariputra (one of the Buddha's ten great disciples)! Bodhisattva Mahasattvas (great Bodhisattvas), when practicing the profound Prajnaparamita (profound perfection of wisdom), should learn in this way.' At this time, the World Honored One (Buddha) arose peacefully from Samadhi (meditative absorption) and praised Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva Mahasattva (Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara), saying: 'Excellent, excellent! Good man! It is so, it is so! Just as you have said. The practice of the profound Prajnaparamita should be practiced in this way. When practiced in this way, all Tathagatas (Buddhas) will rejoice and praise.' At this time, after the World Honored One had spoken these words, the venerable Shariputra (the venerable Shariputra), Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, and all the beings present, including gods, humans, Asuras (a type of demigod), Gandharvas (a type of celestial musician), and others, upon hearing what the Buddha had said, were all greatly delighted, accepted it with faith, and practiced accordingly.
