「大德僧聽!僧本結內界,一住處一說戒故。若僧時到僧忍聽,僧一住處一說戒中捨本界。如是白。」
「大德僧聽!僧本結內界,一住處一說戒故。今僧一住處一說戒中捨本界。誰諸長老忍是一住處一說戒中捨本界,是諸長老默然;誰不忍便說。」
「僧一住處一說戒中捨本界竟,僧忍默然故,是事如是持。」
結內界羯磨(四處即是內界,以故不除。此處內難失衣之罪,是以後結衣中應除)

'Venerable Sangha, listen! The Sangha originally established an inner boundary (innermost area defined by the Sangha), for the purpose of reciting the precepts in one dwelling place. Now, the Sangha abandons the original boundary within one dwelling place for reciting the precepts. Which elders consent to abandoning the original boundary within one dwelling place for reciting the precepts? Those elders are silent; whoever does not consent, speak up.'
'The abandonment of the original boundary within one dwelling place for reciting the precepts is completed. The Sangha consents and remains silent, therefore, this matter is upheld as such.'
Karma of Establishing an Inner Boundary (The four locations are the inner boundary, therefore they are not removed. Here, within the inner boundary, there is the offense of losing one's robe, therefore, it should be removed when establishing the robe boundary later.)
'Venerable Sangha, listen! This Bhikṣu (monk) of such and such name speaks of the characteristics of the boundary in the four directions. This characteristic is the inner boundary (boundary of the innermost area), that characteristic is the outer boundary (boundary of the outermost area). If it is the Sangha's time and the Sangha consents, the Sangha establishes an inner boundary (innermost area) for the purpose of reciting the precepts in one dwelling place. Such is the announcement.'

Acīvara-viprayoga-karma (Karma regarding not losing robes):
'Venerable Sangha, listen! One dwelling, one recitation of the Patimokkha, establishing the inner boundary. Within this, excluding villages and boundaries, excluding wilderness areas (arañña, referring to places far from human habitation) and houses, the remaining, one dwelling, one recitation of the Patimokkha, is established as the rule of not losing robes. If it is the Sangha's time and the Sangha permits, the Sangha will establish one dwelling, one recitation of the Patimokkha, as the rule of not losing robes. This is how it is announced.'
'Venerable Sangha, listen! One dwelling, one recitation of the Patimokkha, establishing the inner boundary. Within this, excluding villages and boundaries, excluding wilderness areas and houses, the remaining, one dwelling, one recitation of the Patimokkha, is established as the rule of not losing robes. Which elder permits this one dwelling, one recitation of the Patimokkha, as the rule of not losing robes, let that elder permit, because of the silence; whoever does not permit, let them speak.' Fourteen Sangha Karmadāna Officers: One who can perform the act, one who can distribute the Sangha's bedding, one who can spread the Sangha's bedding, one who can distribute the Sangha's cakes, one who can assign invitations, one who assigns novices, one who can distribute the Sangha's porridge, one who can assign the garden keeper, one who can distribute the Sangha's robes, one who can distribute rain robes, the chief distributor of medicine, one who manages the Sangha's property day and night, one who manages the Sangha's coarse property, one who constantly guards the dwelling.

佛在舍衛國。長老迦留陀比丘故出精,得僧伽婆尸沙罪,一罪覆藏。是長老語諸比丘:「諸長老!我故出精得僧伽婆尸沙罪,一罪覆藏。我當云何?」諸比丘不知如何,以是白佛。佛語諸比丘:「汝曹與迦留陀比丘故出精犯得僧伽婆尸沙罪,一罪覆藏故,如覆藏時與波利婆沙(隨時下意作眾事)。更有比丘得如是罪,亦應與波利婆沙。」諸比丘言:「大德!云何應與?」佛言:「一心會僧中,是迦留陀比丘應偏袒右肩脫革屣入僧中,頭面禮諸比丘足,胡跪合掌應言

Therefore, this matter is thus decided.』 (Fourteen cases omitting one person, the remaining methods can be inferred) The Sanghavesesa (a type of monastic offense) Confession Method The Buddha was in Shravasti (an ancient Indian city). Elder Kaludayi (name of a monk) Bhikkhu intentionally emitted semen, committing a Sanghavesesa (a type of monastic offense) offense, and concealed one offense. This elder said to the bhikkhus: 『Venerable elders! I intentionally emitted semen, committing a Sanghavesesa offense, and concealed one offense. What should I do?』 The bhikkhus did not know what to do, so they reported this matter to the Buddha. The Buddha said to the bhikkhus: 『You should give Kaludayi Bhikkhu Parivasa (a type of penance, doing various things according to his wishes) according to the time he concealed the Sanghavesesa offense of intentionally emitting semen. If other bhikkhus commit such an offense, they should also be given Parivasa.』 The bhikkhus said: 『Venerable One! How should it be given?』 The Buddha said: 『Gather together in the Sangha with one mind. This Kaludayi Bhikkhu should expose his right shoulder, take off his leather shoes, enter the Sangha, prostrate himself at the feet of all the bhikkhus, kneel with his right knee on the ground, join his palms, and say:
:『諸長老一心念!我迦留陀比丘故出精得僧伽婆尸沙罪,一罪覆藏。除是罪故,僧中如覆藏日乞波利婆沙。僧!我迦留陀比丘故出精得僧伽婆尸沙罪,一罪覆藏。除是罪故,如覆藏日與波利婆沙。憐愍故。』如是第二、第三說訖。」
波利婆沙羯磨
「是中一比丘,應僧中如是唱:『大德僧聽!是迦留陀比丘故出精得僧伽婆尸沙罪,一罪覆藏。除是罪故,僧中如覆藏日乞波利婆沙。是言:「僧!我迦留陀比丘故出精得僧伽婆尸沙罪,一罪覆藏。除是罪故,如覆藏日與波利婆沙。憐愍故。」若僧時到僧忍聽,僧迦留陀比丘故出精得僧伽婆尸沙罪,一罪覆藏。除是罪故,如覆藏日與波利婆尸沙。如是白。』
「『大德僧聽!是迦留陀比丘故出精得僧伽婆尸沙罪,一罪覆藏。除是罪故,今僧中如覆藏日與波利婆沙。誰諸長老忍迦留陀比丘故出精得僧伽婆尸沙罪,一罪覆藏,除是罪故,今僧中如覆藏日與波利婆沙,是諸長老默然;誰不忍便說。』第二、第三說。

「一心會僧中,迦留陀比丘應偏袒右肩脫革屣入僧

In order to expiate this offense, I request Parivāsa (probation) from the Saṃgha (monastic community) for the number of days I concealed it. O Saṃgha! I, the Bhikkhu Kālodāyin, have committed a Saṃghāvaśeṣa offense due to intentional emission of semen, and I have concealed one offense. In order to expiate this offense, please grant me Parivāsa for the number of days I concealed it. Out of compassion!' Thus, it is stated a second and third time.
The Parivāsa-karma (Act of Probation)
'Among you, one Bhikkhu should announce in the Saṃgha thus: 'Venerable Saṃgha, listen! This Bhikkhu Kālodāyin has committed a Saṃghāvaśeṣa offense due to intentional emission of semen, and he has concealed one offense. In order to expiate this offense, he requests Parivāsa from the Saṃgha for the number of days he concealed it. He says: 'O Saṃgha! I, the Bhikkhu Kālodāyin, have committed a Saṃghāvaśeṣa offense due to intentional emission of semen, and I have concealed one offense. In order to expiate this offense, please grant me Parivāsa for the number of days I concealed it. Out of compassion!' If the Saṃgha deems it the right time, and the Saṃgha agrees, the Saṃgha grants Bhikkhu Kālodāyin, who has committed a Saṃghāvaśeṣa offense due to intentional emission of semen and concealed one offense, Parivāsa for the number of days he concealed it. Those elders who approve of the Saṃgha granting Bhikkhu Kālodāyin, who has committed a Saṃghāvaśeṣa offense due to intentional emission of semen and concealed one offense, Parivāsa for the number of days he concealed it, let them remain silent; whoever disapproves, let them speak.' It is stated a second and third time.
'O Saṃgha! The granting of Parivāsa to Bhikkhu Kālodāyin, who has committed a Saṃghāvaśeṣa offense due to intentional emission of semen and concealed it for a number of days, is completed. The Saṃgha approves, because it remains silent; thus, this matter is decided.' (In the Parivāsa, the three karmas should be fully stated, according to the tradition below)
The Request for Mānatta (penance)
Gathered together in the Saṃgha, Bhikkhu Kālodāyin should bare his right shoulder, remove his sandals, and enter the Saṃgha.

The elder Kāḷudāyin (迦留陀, a personal name) bhikkhu (比丘, monk) intentionally emitted semen, committing a Saṃghāvaśeṣa (僧伽婆尸沙, a serious offense second only to Pārājika) offense, and did not conceal this offense. This Kāḷudāyi Bhikkhu, having committed another offense on top of the previous offense, having practiced Mānatta in the Sangha for six nights, having completed Rūpajīvī, asks the Bhikkhus: 'What should I do now?' The Bhikkhus do not know what to do. They report this matter to the Buddha. The Buddha says: 'You should give him the Exoneration Karma. This Kāḷudāyi Bhikkhu, having committed another offense on top of the previous offense, having practiced Mānatta in the Sangha for six nights, having completed Rūpajīvī. If there are other Bhikkhus who commit such an offense, they should also be given the Exoneration Karma.' The Bhikkhus say: 'Venerable One! How should the Exoneration Karma be given?' The Buddha says: 'Gather together in the Sangha with one mind, Kāḷudāyi Bhikkhu should uncover his right shoulder, remove his leather sandals, enter the Sangha, bow his head to the feet of the Bhikkhus, kneel with folded hands, and say:'

'Venerable Elder, be of one mind! Bhikkhu So-and-so touched a woman's undergarment and committed a Thullaccaya (gross offense). I, Bhikkhu So-and-so, now confess this offense to the Elder and dare not conceal it.' (Repeat this three times)
'Venerable Elder, be of one mind! I, Bhikkhu So-and-so, kept a long robe for more than ten days and committed a Nissaggiya Pacittiya (forfeiture and expiation) offense. I, Bhikkhu So-and-so, relinquish this robe, confess the offense to the Elder, and request expiation for the sake of purity.' Repeat this three times.
'Venerable Elder, be of one mind! I, Bhikkhu So-and-so, knowingly lied and committed a Pacittiya (expiation) offense. I, Bhikkhu So-and-so, now confess this offense to the Elder, request expiation, and eliminate the offense for the sake of purity.' Repeat this three times.
Four Confession Methods
'Venerable Sangha, be of one mind! I, Bhikkhu So-and-so, have fallen into a blameworthy and inappropriate act, which is expiable. I now confess it.' Repeat this the second and third time (the Sangha replies: 'We hear').
'Venerable Elder, be of one mind! I, Bhikkhu So-and-so, touched a woman's clothing and committed a Dukkata (wrongdoing) offense.' Repeat this three times.
Various Exclusion Karmas
'Venerable Sangha, listen! This Bhikkhu So-and-so has committed a sexual act and committed a Parajika (defeat) offense. If it is the Sangha's time and the Sangha permits, the Sangha considers that this Bhikkhu So-and-so has committed a sexual act and committed a Parajika offense. This matter has caused a dispute. Some Bhikkhus say this sin has remnants and can be dealt with; some Bhikkhus say there are no remnants and it cannot be dealt with. Among those who say the sin can be dealt with, the Bhikkhu says: 'This Bhikkhu should participate in Pavarana (self-surrender ceremony) together.' Among those who say there are no remnants and it cannot be dealt with, the Bhikkhu says: 'This Bhikkhu should not participate in Pavarana together, I should leave.' In times of difficulty, each says: 'Elder, be mindful! Now, if it is the fifteenth day, the Sangha is performing Uposatha (observance day) and reciting the precepts, I, Bhikkhu so-and-so, also perform Uposatha and recite the precepts.' Thus, say it three times.
When the eight difficulties (as in, cutting off roots of goodness, not seeing the Buddha, not hearing the Dharma, being born in border regions, being deaf, blind, and mute, worldly cleverness, slandering the Dharma before the Buddha, holding wrong views) arise, recite the Pavarana once. The Karma (monastic procedure) should say according to the situation: 'Venerable Sangha, please listen! There is a difficulty here. If the Pavarana is recited three times, one may lose one's life or break the precepts. If the Sangha is ready and the Sangha permits, the Sangha should recite the Pavarana once. Thus, it is announced.'
When the four requisites (clothing, food, shelter, and medicine) arise and there is a large assembly, when kings and others come and give great offerings, when two Dharma masters debate the meaning, if many Bhikkhus are sick, if it is raining and the roof is leaking, one should also say according to the situation: 'If the Pavarana is recited three times here, the night will pass and the Pavarana will not be completed. If the Sangha is ready and the Sangha permits, the Sangha should recite the Pavarana once. Thus, it is announced.'
The Karma for appointing a person to perform Pavarana for the Sangha
One should say thus: 'Who can perform Pavarana for the Sangha?' If someone says they can, one should say: 'One should be accomplished in five qualities to perform Pavarana: not loving Pavarana,'

'Sangha! Bhikkhu so-and-so and others have completed acting as persons for self-surrender for the Sangha. The Sangha approves, because of silence, this matter is thus maintained.'

'Elders, pay attention wholeheartedly! Today is the Sangha's day of self-surrender. I, Bhikkhu so-and-so, ask you and the Sangha to freely point out my faults. If the Sangha sees my offenses, hears of my offenses, or suspects my offenses, please tell me, out of compassion for me. If you see, hear, or know of my offenses, please remove them according to the Dharma.' Thus, it is said a second and third time.

'Elders, pay attention wholeheartedly! I, Bhikkhu so-and-so, observed the Rainy Season Retreat (Vassa) at this dwelling place. For the first three months, I relied on the village of so-and-so (name of the village), because the dwelling of so-and-so (name of the dwelling) was damaged and needed repair.' Thus, it is said a second and third time. (The elders should say: 'Examine yourself wholeheartedly.' The response is: 'I shall gradually learn.')
'Elders, remember! Bhikkhu so-and-so observed the Rainy Season Retreat in the middle of the summer. When a Bhikkhu receives a robe, he thinks in his heart and speaks with his mouth: 『This dwelling place, this robe, is given by people for the sake of the Sangha, now...』
僧可分。是中無僧,是物應屬我,是物我用,我許受。」是名作羯磨竟。
二比丘應如是言:「是衣,是住處諸人,為僧故施,現前僧可分。是物爾許,屬我與汝。長老!是分汝受,自須自用。」二比丘亦爾。「是物,是中住處諸人為僧故施,現前僧可分。是物爾許屬我。是分與汝長老,是分汝自受自用。」是名貿分。二比丘應如是言:「是衣,是住處諸人為僧故施,現前僧可分。是物爾許屬汝長老,長老自受自須用。」異比丘應如是言:「是衣,是中住處諸人為僧故施,現前僧應分。是物爾許屬汝長老,長老自受,自須自用。」是名自受分。
「長老一心念!我某甲比丘,是盡形藥受長用共宿藥。」如是第二、第三說。
「長老一心念!我某甲比丘,是七日藥受用共宿藥。」如是第二、第三說。
「長老一心念!我某甲比丘,是夜分漿受。」如是第二、第三說。
