【English Translation】 English version 'Buddha Auspicious Virtue Praise', Volume 1 Composed by Venerable Shanti Bhadra (寂友) Translated by Imperial Translator Shihu (施護) , Great Master of Spreading the Dharma, Minister of Guanglu Temple, appointed by the Emperor from the Western Heaven Translation Bureau I now take refuge in the World Honored Buddha, praising the supreme merits and virtues. Speaking truthfully, not deceiving, speaking the truth, speaking according to meaning. Speaking rightly, speaking silently, speaking of no-self, revealing the door to the ultimate truth. Appearing with all bodies, with universal eyes, bestowing light and constantly observing. Opening the eyes of wisdom for all sentient beings, destroying all their ignorance and darkness. The ten powers (Tathagata's ten powers) are born from truth, having reached the supreme pure and cool ground. The four fearlessnesses (Buddha's four fearlessnesses) are fully possessed, creating great light and holding the lamp. Developing bright flames, spreading light and illumination, bestowing upon them a gathering of blazing great light. Initiating firm and vigorous effort, without diminishing any supreme merits and virtues. The roar of the Shakya (釋迦) Lion, able to speak the unattached true Dharma. Not stained by the eight worldly winds, the supreme pure and compassionate one. Brahma (梵王), Indra (帝釋), Vaishravana (毗沙門), and other gods all respectfully honor. My Buddha always speaks with wonderful skill, sweet, profound, and vast. The sound of true suchness and liberation, also able to understand all languages. Vast and pure like the empty sky, born in the noblest clan and royal palace. The Buddha's light is like the light of the sun and moon, worshiped by gods, humans, and Asuras (阿修羅). Having obtained the wonderful jewels of the seven factors of enlightenment (七覺支), establishing the supreme banner of the Dharma jewel. Opening and illuminating all ignorance and darkness, the body shines with a golden light. The most supreme among humans, the honored among humans, having cut off defilements such as greed, hatred, and delusion. The Pundarika flower among humans, like all the wonderful lotus flowers among humans. Purifying the sorrows and afflictions of birth and death, eliminating ignorance and arrogance. Eternally blocking the doors of fighting and contention, eternally cutting off the seeds of continuous defilements. Imparting all Dharmas without secrecy, destroying my arrogance.

【English Translation】 English version Erecting the Banner of Dharma Turning the Righteous Dharma Wheel to benefit all beings, destroying the wheel of birth and death, ceasing all suffering. The water of Śamatha (tranquility meditation) is clear and pure, flowing like the sea, deep and without bottom. Having been able to dry up the source of love, therefore it is filled with the water of merit. Those who see it all give rise to joyful hearts, without attachment in all places. Able to give up oneself for the sake of sentient beings, treating enemies and relatives equally. The complexion is like pure gold, newly emerging flame, the tongue is like a lotus flower, broad and pure. The light of the body shines purely and brightly, blazing like gold and like lightning. Diligence and effort are taken as the waist, abiding in Samādhi (meditative absorption) as the neck. Wisdom penetrates as the crown of the head, sequentially displaying the appearance of adornment. The Thus-Come One (Tathāgata), courageous and fearless, completely understands everything vast and far-reaching. Able to destroy the power of demons, the great elephant and dragon, skillfully speaking the supreme Dharma words. Abiding in the supreme and wonderful joy of patience, having cut off all entanglements of love. Righteous wisdom establishes firm intelligence, wisdom is deep and vast, with unbreakable knowledge. The supreme and rare Udumbara (a mythical auspicious flower), possessing hundreds of thousands of excellent merits. The Thus-Come One, the Holy Honored One, is difficult to encounter, possessing boundless meritorious Dharma. Like the earth that can hold all seeds, stable, peaceful, and vast. The wisdom of the Thus-Come One is also like this, possessing boundless meritorious Dharma. Without defilement, without stain, originally pure, bathing body and mind, taming the Honored One. Guiding sentient beings to the other shore, proclaiming the Right Dharma, the savior of the world. The thirty-two marks are all complete, and the eighty minor marks are also adorned. The body is perfect with a hundred blessings, vast, supreme, and without equal. Having attained freedom in all Dharmas, revealing the gate of pure ultimate meaning. Intelligence pervades all realms, wisdom vajra (diamond) breaks all afflictions. Having been able to subdue the worldly realm, the nature of awakening hope has been removed. Antidotes to afflictions are completely without remainder, vast eloquence is without obstruction. Giving, upholding precepts, and patience, diligence, meditation, and wisdom. All the Pāramitās (perfections) are completely fulfilled, the sage Asita (an ancient Indian seer) constantly makes offerings. The Buddha is a high and supreme mountain of merit.

I take refuge in the Buddha who skillfully protects the world, All corresponding Dharmas have already been heard, Penetrating the gates of all Dharmas with one's own wisdom, I bow in reverence to the most supreme knower of the Dharma. First, seeing all Dharmas with one's own wisdom, Attaining unsurpassed great Bodhi (enlightenment), Then awakening sentient beings, benefiting them in the same way, I bow in reverence to the true awakened one who awakens both self and others. Truly knowing all Brahmacarya (pure conduct), Without breakage, without severance, the strength of form is firm, Complete with purity, and also comprehensive and perfect, I bow in reverence to the one who purely cultivates Brahmacarya. Without forgetting the Dharma, already abiding in the Dharma, Brave and firm, the most supreme honored one, The Buddha's mind is vast and immeasurable, boundless, Fully able to illuminate and penetrate the nature of suffering and joy. The Buddha is the most supreme skillful tamer, Also called the unsurpassed Two-Footed One (chief among humans), Among all Shramanas (ascetics), the great Shramana, I bow in reverence to the Shramana whom none can surpass. Knowing the Dharma, knowing the meaning, knowing the measure of time, Truly knowing oneself, and also knowing others, Completely knowing the faculties of oneself and others, Knowing the Pudgala (individuals) here and there who repeatedly transmigrate. Samahita (concentrated), the senses are tranquil, All actions performed are comprehensive and perfect, The precepts are complete, wonderfully without flaw, I bow in reverence to the powerful Samadhi (meditative concentration). Abiding in the Samadhi of non-cessation, Without worry, without wavering, far from all dangers, Already without a mind of high or low, acceptance or rejection, The continuity of rebirth is completely and eternally severed. Like Mount Meru (Sumeru), the mind is secure and firm, The wisdom of non-retrogression can all be accomplished, Wisdom pervading all places constantly accompanies, I bow in reverence to the wisdom that is unsurpassed and non-ceasing. Evil people's evil words certainly offend and disturb: Evil people's evil words even offend and disturb. The Buddha's heart is unmoved and peaceful: The Buddha's heart does not move and remains peaceful. Good words and evil words are equal without difference: Good words and evil words, the Buddha treats them equally without difference. I bow to the one who is equal in love and hate. Gold, lapis lazuli, true pearls, and jewels: These are the most precious treasures in the world. Not speaking of worldly words of profit and offerings, nor are there false and deceptive untrue speeches. Speech is free and at ease, speech is peaceful and tranquil, away from worldly joys and pleasures. Speech is pure and single-minded, without blemish, I bow my head in reverence to those whose speech is tranquil. Speech is sweet and without attachment, speech is able to subdue all demons. Speech is firm and resolute, away from worldly affairs, I bow my head in reverence to those who have already escaped from all ignorance. Having been able to stay far away from all inverted views, having escaped from frivolous and turbulent causes. Having escaped from all unrighteous speech, I bow my head in reverence to those who are good at using speech to gather and transform sentient beings. Constantly practicing actions without flattery and deceit, following a pure and true heart. Extensively practicing love and respect, truly without falsehood, I bow my head in reverence to those who have already crossed the difficulties of birth and death. All actions are able to be perfectly accomplished, this is the gate of birth into the right Dharma. Those who see it are filled with joy, the World Honored One, I bow my head and take refuge in this pure person. Turning towards the flawless, noble and supreme Dharma, skilled at opening the gate of tranquility and peace in the world. Even to the extent of widely proclaiming with upright and subtle speech, the Dharma that benefits the heavens, humans, and all sentient beings. The various Dharma words spoken by the Tathagata (如來), are far from all sounds of love, desire, and attachment. Un-tuned sounds have already been eliminated, I bow my head in reverence to those who are good at speaking the Dharma teachings. The Tathagata (如來) has long cultivated all pure conduct, the mind is without disturbance and agitation, originally at peace. Maintaining equality in the three places of body, speech, and mind, abiding in mindfulness, I bow my head in reverence to the three non-protections of the Shakyamuni Buddha (釋迦牟尼佛). The Buddha (佛) has already cut off all words of doubt, the equal position is what the Buddha constantly practices. Nirvana (涅槃) is no different from worldly love, it is the supreme gate of love, I bow my head in reverence to those who have greatly entered the realm of Nirvana (涅槃). 【English Translation】 English version Homage The Tathagata (如來,Tathāgata, 'Thus Gone One' or 'Thus Come One', an epithet of the Buddha) is without defilement and without afflictions, born from a special birth, far from the womb. Able to fulfill all the wishes and desires of sentient beings, I bow to the one who skillfully gathers all the Dharma (法,Dharma, the teachings of the Buddha). Manifesting birth in a pure and noble royal lineage, possessing vast wealth and high status. Completely able to renounce all of this and leave home to practice, I bow to the one who is humble in heart and far from arrogance. Endowed with the most supreme beauty and strength, with dignified and auspicious marks that delight those who see them. Able to abandon all the wonderful realms of the world, I bow to the pure and liberated one. With pure precepts, complete and without deficiency, able to speak truthfully and act accordingly. Possessing great wisdom and great compassion, the great and holy one, I bow to the one who benefits beings through shared activity (referring to engaging with beings on their level). The Buddha's words are upright, clear, and wonderfully good, cutting off greed, and faults no longer arise. All defiled dharmas are completely removed, proclaiming the language of right cause and right action. The words spoken about actions are free from entanglement, always proclaimed with gentle and loving speech. Among the assembly of śramaṇas (沙門,śramaṇa, wandering ascetics) and brāhmaṇas (婆羅門,brāhmaṇa, priests), the Tathagata's words are always the most supreme. The Buddha is the tamer of the right Dharma, the honored one who tames dharmas free from dust. The teacher of the unparalleled Dharma gate of taming, the one who tames with immeasurable dharmas. The Tathagata's precepts are complete and equal, and the samadhi (定,samādhi, concentration) and wisdom are also complete and without difference. The completeness of liberation and the source are the same, and the completeness of the knowledge and vision of liberation is also without difference. The holy, upright, auspicious, and greatly enlightened one, the most supreme taming, the path is the same. Always dwelling in the forests, ceasing all conditions, sitting and lying down at will, and resting peacefully. 【English Translation】 English version   The soles of the feet are level, full, and well-established.   The thousand-spoked wheel mark appears on the soles of the feet, the hub and rim of the wheel are all perfectly complete.   The hands and feet are as soft as 'Tula' cotton (a type of soft cotton). A net-like light appears between the hands and feet.   The fingers and toes are exquisitely slender and long. The heels are round and full, the instep is in harmony with the heel.   The instep is high, elevated and full. The calves are like those of the 'Eṇeya' deer king (a graceful deer).   The arms are long and round, reaching the knees. The genital organs are concealed and hidden, like those of a dragon horse.   The tips of the hair and body hair are smooth and turned upwards. Each hair on the body turns to the right.   The skin is fine and smooth, free from dirt. The body is truly golden in color, with radiant light.   The seven places—hands, feet, neck, and shoulders—are full. The neck and armpits are full and round.   The demeanor is dignified and serene, beautifully upright. The body is long, broad, and straight.   Like the 'Nyagrodha' tree (a tall tree), the body is complete and round. The upper body is like a lion king.   There is always a light on the face, each extending one 'vyāma' (ancient unit of length). The forty teeth are even, without gaps or defects.   The four teeth are white, fresh, and sharp. 【English Translation】 English version Perfect and without deficiency, neither concave nor convex, broad and round. The right-spiraling navel is deep and wondrous, pure without holes, without diminution or lowness. The limbs of the body, when touched, are free from all faults, completely without dimples, warts, or growths. Like a lotus flower unstained by mud, it is also free from all disturbances. The face is round, bright, and pure, the physical form complete and without lack. The tongue is broad and long like red copper, soft and like a lotus leaf. The lips are radiant and lovely, like the Bimba fruit (a red fruit) and red copper. The voice is like the sound of water clouds colliding, and like the great roar of an elephant king. The voice is deep, far-reaching, and beautiful, pleasing all who hear it. The hands are soft like Kapok cotton, the lines on the hands are deep, clear, and unbroken. The four teeth are sharp, wondrous, and firm, supreme, pure, and even. The teeth are square, bright white, and even, the eyes are long and broad like lotus leaves. The eyelashes are dense and not white, the eyebrows are moist, not white, and long. The earlobes are long, broad, thick, and round, each hair on the body is lustrous. Illuminating all phenomena of arising and ceasing, all defilements are exhausted, with no remainder. Thus, the wisdom of the ten powers (the ten powers of a Buddha) is complete and perfect, I bow to the great diligence of the Tathagata. The Tathagata has exhausted all defilements without any remaining impurity, and has awakened to all dharmas without omission. Therefore, he is called the Perfectly Enlightened One, I bow and pay homage today. He equally speaks of all defiled dharmas, and skillfully proclaims all paths of liberation. 【English Translation】 English version The Buddha possesses indestructible true wisdom, universally and completely manifesting as the Awakened One. True wisdom shatters the minds of all evil wisdoms; once the Buddha is truly awakened, there is no remaining awakening to be attained. Regarding one's own realm and the realms of others, and all phenomena created by all realms, In all these roots (senses) and meanings (objects), the Buddha is the unsurpassed source of roots. In the (Buddha's) characteristics, there are no remaining conditions on which characteristics depend; all non-form (formless) seeds that appear are severed. The double-eaved roof (metaphor for afflictions) of non-birth has long been removed, having thoroughly penetrated to the bottom of the river of dependent origination (pratītyasamutpāda). Separated from the ignorance and darkness of two kinds of non-wisdom, thereby generating the light of two kinds of wisdom. Also separated from the minds of two kinds of doubt and seeking, thereby establishing two kinds of decisive wisdom. Having obtained the worldly phrase of exhaustive knowledge (ksaya-jnana), the obstacles of wisdom have been removed, and the perfect light of the Dharma (dharma) is manifested. Possessing the excellent reliance and the gate of tranquility, possessing excellent places, dwelling well in peace. Possessing all that should be practiced, both knowledge (vidyā) and conduct (carana) are complete, and the physical appearance is perfect. Possessing lineage and language, obtaining the fruits of supernatural powers, skillfully delivering beings. The actions of body, speech, and mind do not need protection; without attachment, wisdom is endlessly concentrated. The gate of decisive non-retrogression wisdom, wisdom proclaims the indestructible aspect of cause and time. All the gates of causes are awakened, and all the gates of effects are also fully known. For all kinds of afflictions and their remedies, I bow in reverence to the Tathagata, the one who is skilled in awakening. Without dualistic speech, possessing inexhaustible eloquence, the one who skillfully proclaims the Dharma of non-retrogression. The eight worldly dharmas (gain, loss, disgrace, fame, praise, ridicule, suffering, and pleasure) do not taint the mind; I bow in reverence to the one who is skilled in understanding the shore of merit. The Buddha, in three great asamkhya-kalpas (asamkhya-kalpa), accumulated all the difficult practices. Employing great compassion to universally cover, both oneself and others can cross the river of afflictions. Knowing the extremely subtle aspects of the three kinds of suffering (suffering of suffering, suffering of change, pervasive suffering), arising great compassion because of pity for suffering. In all natures that are the objects of the three realms, great compassion extends to all places. The Tathagata is equal in the nature of wisdom, regarding enemies and relatives with equality. The heart of compassion is vast and immeasurable, universally embracing all sentient beings. The Buddha speaks one medicine for sentient beings, making both physical and mental illnesses universally peaceful. 【English Translation】 English version Skilled in Nourishing: Not seeking from others for one's own benefit, abandoning all the joy one has obtained. Following suitable expedient means, with a compassionate heart, determined to subdue the suffering of sentient beings. When sentient beings should be subdued, the Tathagata (one of the titles of the Buddha) is skilled in understanding without any error. Acting as an uninvited friend to sentient beings, universally enabling them to attain liberation, arousing a compassionate heart. The Sakyamuni (another title of the Buddha) skillfully proclaims the wonderful Dharma medicine, curing the root of suffering from birth, aging, sickness, and death of sentient beings. Illuminating the past and present bodies and minds of sentient beings, understanding the boundless nature of afflictions. Cutting off the afflictions of sentient beings, the Buddha knows the timing and measure without any error. Depending on what the illness is, and what medicine can remove it, the Lokajyestha (another title of the Buddha) accordingly proclaims the remedy for them. All the actions performed by the Tathagata are practiced righteously and completely. Whether it is a single or multiple manifestations of Dharma, they can be harmoniously understood without any obstacles. The Tathagata's merits are complete, having reached the cool and clear land of Sarvajnana (complete understanding of the essence of all things). Knowing the path, recognizing the path, proclaiming the path, the Supreme One is the refuge of the supreme path and the multitude of paths. Rescuing all the suffering of Samsara (cycle of rebirth), liberating sentient beings from entanglement. Universally enabling them to cross the river of afflictions, becoming those who possess steadfast shame and remorse. Able to establish the banner of the Holy Dharma well, indicating the impermanent nature of all phenomena. Revealing cessation and extinction, the Dharma gate of detachment from greed, showing the path of tranquility and liberation. Able to skillfully indicate all Dharmas, the Supreme One who can teach sentient beings with all Dharmas. Able to act as a great guide who benefits sentient beings, bowing in reverence to those who are happy to give and rejoice. Always speaking words of instruction, teaching, benefit, and joy, possessing great power and great spiritual abilities. The supreme pure Mahabrahma (a Buddhist protective deity), bowing in reverence to the one who is free and flourishing. Having ceased all discussions about lineage, and cut off all languages about clan. The words of worldly affairs have also disappeared, bowing in reverence to the one who always proclaims the Right Dharma. The Tathagata's walking is always peaceful, neither wide nor narrow, walking upright. Walking in accordance with goodness, those who see it rejoice, indicating the Tathagata's good conduct. The Tathagata does not destroy correct knowledge and views, possessing the nature of what was done before. Accomplishing all meritorious deeds, cutting off the root of doubt, leaving the mind of begging and entering the village. Coming out and entering must be clear and visible to all, the most supreme one who is without reliance and immovable. Supreme, wonderful, special, and auspicious.

The Tathagata (one of the titles of the Buddha) has attained the immovable Dharma, and is also endowed with a deep and vast mind; is able to accomplish well the seven noble treasures (faith, morality, shame, remorse, learning, generosity, wisdom), I bow to the one who learns well the three learnings (morality, concentration, wisdom). The Buddha, the great hero, is worthy of praise, not frightened by evil and different realms, far away from all inauspiciousness, I bow to the one who has reached the land of taming. The Brahmacharya is truly and well established, all above, below, lengthwise, and breadthwise take refuge, constantly giving fearlessness to sentient beings, I bow to the one who is detached from clinging to the Dharma. I take refuge in the Buddha, the great Arhat (a saint who has eradicated all defilements and attained liberation), the venerable one who has exhausted all outflows and is without defilement, whose deeds are accomplished and whose virtues are complete and bright, I bow to the one who has removed all heavy burdens. Having attained the benefit of what one has done, all bonds and obstacles are removed, abiding in right knowledge and a liberated mind, I bow to the one who has departed and is liberated. Having realized the principle of liberation beyond words, liberated by the exhaustion of love and clinging, the mind is without forgetfulness and liberation is complete, I bow to the one whose mind is without inversion. The Buddha's mind is immeasurable and vast, without different Dharmas, cultivating the mind well, the mind is detached from bonds and afflictions are removed, I bow to the one who has broken all different kinds. Having exhausted all defiled karma and attained purity, having realized Nirvana (the state of cessation of suffering) without remainder, the most excellent liberated one among humans, having fought and defeated the army of Mara (demon). Not negligent in all good Dharmas, abiding well in right mindfulness and right wisdom, opening the silent eye to see sentient beings, I bow to the one who saves well from the suffering of birth and death. Awakening sentient beings from the sleep of ignorance, breaking well the ignorance of sentient beings, the Buddha diligently arises with a spirit of vigor, urging on all the lazy ones. Giving good Dharmas in the midst of all that is not good, opening the door of learning in the midst of those who have fallen from learning, giving fearlessness in the midst of all fears, bringing peace to those who are not at peace. Making light shine in the midst of all darkness, causing the cultivation of goodness in the midst of all that is not good, causing merit to arise in the midst of all faults, removing karmic sins in the midst of all sins. Causing those who are rebellious to know gratitude, able to fulfill the wishes of sentient beings, the mantra and illumination are truly accomplished.

【English Translation】 English version Real Practice: I bow to the one who can destroy afflictions. The Buddha has already distanced himself from all falsehoods, his mind is without agitation and not haughty. He displays the auspicious gate with supreme victory, I bow to the Buddha, for he is the source of blessings. In a single instant, he generates all actions, possessing unique seeds of supernatural powers. Ultimately accomplishing the most supreme Dharma gate, in all places, he is free from meaningless words. Regarding all doubts and mixed discourses, the Buddha can completely dispel them with decisive and correct speech. He equally cultivates all auspicious practices, skillfully understanding the minds of all beings. He has already subdued the speech of others, just like a fierce fire burns dry firewood. Burning away all afflictions is also like that, I bow to the Buddha who abides in the Dharma of a righteous person. Possessing all auspiciousness, possessing shame and remorse, he is the sovereign of the world, the supreme silent one. 【English Translation】 English version In all sentient beings, the Buddha has attained a compassionate heart and treats them equally. The Buddha is compassionate towards the world, and well understands the ultimate truth (Paramārtha-satya). The Tathāgata's (one of the titles of the Buddha) three eyes are perfectly clear, and the three kinds of praise (referring to praise in body, speech, and mind) are well possessed. The Tathāgata possesses the three non-protections (referring to the Tathāgata having no faults to hide), revealing the venerable one without blemish in the three realms (Trailokya: the desire realm, the form realm, and the formless realm). One is widely versed in the practice of the four foundations of mindfulness (Sati-patthana: contemplation of body, sensation, mind, and phenomena), and is free to use names, phrases, and literary expressions. One can skillfully and endlessly debate at will, and is wise and understands all teachings and instructions. One can well understand various kinds and languages, and one's eloquence is unobstructed everywhere. In various opposing situations, one can turn them towards compliance; in various situations of anger and rage, one can purify them. In various situations of arrogance, one can generate a respectful heart; one can abandon all pursuits of profit and offerings. The path one walks is genuine and supreme, and one can directly realize the venerable state by one's own power. One can purify all means of verbal expression, and pays homage to this non-attachment to language. One speaks well-come words and meaningful words, and possesses all correct conduct. All the Tathāgata's merits are perfectly complete, and one pays homage to this Buddha who does not forget the Dharma. One is the supreme and excellent tamer who can gather and benefit sentient beings, rejoicing and being compassionate to all sentient beings. One's heart of compassion is firm, desiring to benefit others, and one pays homage to this Buddha who always desires to benefit and bring happiness to sentient beings. There is kindness between the Buddha and sentient beings, and one always acts as a good friend and knowledge (Kalyāṇa-mittatā). Like a father and mother, one can give birth (referring to giving life and teaching), desiring to bring goodness and happiness to sentient beings. The Buddha is the personal teacher of sentient beings, and can well speak of the supreme meaning and teachings of all dharmas. One can righteously proclaim the supreme meaning of phrases, enabling sentient beings to understand the nature of all things. The Tathāgata always speaks without attachment, praising well without adding or subtracting. The great compassion continuously arises, and one pays homage to this Buddha who is good at seeing what is appropriate and what is not.

【English Translation】 English version He who has awakened to all dharmas: The great hero (dà zhèng shì) who awakens sentient beings, the尊 (zūn, revered one) who awakens to the subtle dharmas. Having awakened clearly to the principle of no-self, one who is skilled in awakening to the self-nature of all karmas. Having awakened to the limits and measures of all realms, knowing the original nature of arising and ceasing. Knowing the various suffering dharmas as they truly are, one who is skilled in understanding the true self-nature. Skilled in awakening to the absence of disturbance, knowing completely the self-nature of the world. Breaking through various evil views, with wisdom enlightened, one who has awakened to all causes and effects. Having awakened to the aspect of liberation from the three realms, therefore cultivating various extremely difficult practices. With a body without fatigue, holding to the skillful means of forms, yet not weary of or departing from the small dharmas. Ultimately expedient, skilled in gathering and benefiting, proclaiming the various dharma gates of the Middle Way. Excellent! Shakyamuni Buddha (Shìjiāmóuní zūn), I bow in reverence and take refuge in the worthy of offerings. The supreme speaker, the silent one, the supreme and most victorious, my great teacher. Skilled in gathering the various inclinations of sentient beings, not taking hold of any phenomena. Possessing one kind of praise, skilled in accomplishing the four means of attraction (sì shè fǎ). Skilled in proclaiming the six harmonies and reverences (liù hé jìng fǎ), the six constant practices (liù cháng xíng) are already complete. Establishing profound right knowledge and views, attaining various samadhis of peaceful goodness. Without a mind of negligence in the good dharmas, having already realized the path accomplished by the Buddhas of the past. Having awakened to the profound right path, developing profound wisdom and light. Towards that path without seeking or investigation, I bow my head to the Tathagata who has attained enlightenment. Gathering together the objects known by the wise, knowing completely the subtle and profound. Revealing the two kinds of Nirvana realms (niè pán jiè), fully realizing all Nirvana paths (niè pán dào). Sentient beings give rise to falsehoods in the long night, the Buddha expediently speaks the dharma without falsehood. Sentient beings are submerged in the mud of birth and death, the Buddha extends a hand to skillfully receive and deliver them. Sentient beings are falling into the evil destinies, the Buddha uses expedient power to rescue and pull them out. All sentient beings give rise to fears such as birth, the Buddha guides them to a place without fear. Possessing vast majestic spiritual power, manifesting all kinds of precious forms. Internally possessing the heart treasure, wonderfully perfect and bright, proclaiming the incomparable precious dharma. The Buddha is not subdued by others, no one can oppose the Buddha. Abiding in all the gates of joy.

Liberation is undefiled, wisdom is undefiled, well-abiding in morality, concentration, and wisdom. All bonds are completely severed, destroying all places of affliction and delusion. The Tathagata (如來, Thus Come One) is born from pure conduct, already dwelling in the supreme cool ground. The Venerable One whose every action is stilled, not attached to worldly matters of respect and love. Already able to sever the fivefold bonds, and able to fully possess the sixfold Dharma. Arousing a mind of equal protection and mindfulness, the four supports are accomplished without deficiency. Pure, true, without difference, equally abandoning what the world loves. Without inverted thought, possessing a true mind, already attaining all lightness and ease. The mind is well liberated, wisdom is liberated, pure and undefiled conduct is well established. Having already been able to conquer others, the Buddha is courageous and fearless. With the righteous path and laws, he universally teaches all. Moreover, among all assemblies, the Buddha is the beloved and honored one. All arise with hearts of reverence and love, contemplating him with respect. The Buddha is the one to be approached, followed, and revered. Not subdued by others, yet subduing without taking. And within the three realms, he is the one who should be offered to. Observing all that appears, unattached to anything.
